Harley Dobbs was two years old when she got involved in a house fire. Harley Dobbs was severely burned with 85% of her body damaged.The doctors thought that she is most likely going to die from the severe burns, yet she made it . Throughout school, Harley was bullied because of her burned scarred skin, and had to struggle with depression and suicidal thoughts, until she had a special tattoo.

This is Haley before she got her burned injuries. For 18 years, Dabbs had to undergo skin grafts and surgeries at Shriners Hospital for Children in Cincinnati, Ohio to improve her damaged skin.
#3 It's not easy to the the outsider.
She met other people treated at the burn center at the hospital. She says, “Shriners is my second home. It was like another planet to me. I felt like I was another species and it made me feel okay being there because there were people who looked like I did — I actually felt like I belonged there.”
#4 She spent many years trying to become invisible to others due to her shyness.
“At the time I didn't feel okay with myself, going to school or just out in public was very hard for me.”
